The Tsitsikamma Community Wind Farm Trust (TWFT) is a community-oriented organization established by the Tsitsikamma Community Wind Energy Facility (TCWF).

Tsitsikamma Wind Farm Trust Bursary Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Tsitsikamma Wind Farm Trust Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You must reside in one of the following areas, or within a 50km radius:
- Kouga: Centerton, Humansdorp, Jeffrey’s Bay (township), Noorshoek, Oyster Bay, Pellrus, Rosedale, St Francis Bay (township), and Westerton
- Koukamma: Clarkson, Kagiso Heights, Kareedouw (township), Katank, New Rest, Nompumelelo, Sanddrif, Thornham, Uitkyk, and Woodlands
- AmaMfengu: Doriskraal, Ekuphumleni, Nuweplaas, Snyklip, and Wittekleibosch Â
- You must have completed Matric (Grade 12) in 2024 or earlier.
- You must be enrolled in or intend to enroll in an undergraduate degree, diploma, certificate, or trade skill program.
- You must be registered or provisionally accepted at a recognized public university, TVET college, FET college, or training institution in South Africa.
- Your parents’ or guardians’ total household income must not exceed R350,000 per annum.
- Returning Beneficiaries: If you are a returning beneficiary (received the bursary previously), you must have passed at least 75% of your 2024 modules and completed community service on time in 2024.
Tsitsikamma Wind Farm Trust Bursary Application Requirements
The application process for the TWFT Bursary is straightforward. Here’s what you’ll need to have ready:
- Certified copy of your South African ID Document
- Certified copies of your academic transcripts:
- Grade 11 final results (if applicable)
- Most recent Matric results (if completed Matric in 2021 and haven’t received your certificate yet)
- Matric certificate or statement of results (if completed Matric in 2020 or earlier)
- Certified copy of your letter of provisional acceptance at a tertiary institution (if not yet studying)
- Certified copy of your full tertiary academic record (if currently studying)
Additional Documents for Applicants Under 18 or Dependent on Parents/Guardians:
- Certified copy of parent or guardian’s proof of income and employment status (not older than 6 months) – This could be a payslip (employed), affidavit (unemployed), SASSA letter (receiving a grant), or death certificate (deceased)
- Certified copy of parent or guardian’s proof of address (municipal bill, letter from Ward Counsellor, or affidavit)
- Recent 3 months bank statement of parent or guardian (certified copy)
All certified copies must be done by the South African Police Service or the South African Post Office and must not be older than 6 months.
