About the Citrus Academy Bursary

The Corteva Agriscience Bursary provides comprehensive financial support for full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in recognized South African universities, colleges, or universities of technology.

This bursary helps cover a wide range of expenses, including:

  2. Textbooks
  3. Accommodation (including university-accredited residences)
  4. Research costs

The bursary program recognizes the importance of financial stability for academic success.

With funding of up to R95,000 per annum for undergraduates and R125,000 per annum for postgraduates, the bursary alleviates financial burdens and allows students to focus on their studies.

Corteva Agriscience Bursary Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Corteva Agriscience Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. South African citizenship
  2. Enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate agricultural program
  3. Entering your 2nd year of study or higher in 2025 (having completed your first year)
  4. Studying at a recognized and accredited South African tertiary institution
  5. Possessing a strong academic record
  6. Not receiving any other bursary, scholarship, grant, or funding for 2025 (excluding NSFAS funding)
  7. Unemployed
  8. Demonstrating financial need
  9. Willing to participate in vacation work with Corteva Agriscience (a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience)
  10. Willing to sign a bursary agreement with Corteva Agriscience
  11. Preference is given to students pursuing studies aligned with the AgriSETA Sectoral Priority Occupations List (focusing on areas of high demand within the agricultural sector)

Corteva Agriscience Bursary Application Requirements

  1. Certified copy of your ID Document (not older than 6 months)
  2. Official tertiary academic records, including your most recent results (on institution letterhead)
  3. Proof of registration at your tertiary institution (on institution letterhead)
  4. Official tertiary fee statements (on institution letterhead)
  5. Proof of your parent or guardian’s income (latest payslip for employed individuals, affidavit for unemployed, or proof of grant/pension if applicable)
  6. Motivational letter outlining your academic goals, financial need, and reasons for pursuing a career in agriculture.
  7. Any other supporting documentation that strengthens your application
