About the Dr Xolani Mkhwanazi South32 Bursary
The Dr Xolani Mkhwanazi South32 Bursary was established to honor the memory of the late Dr Xolani Mkhwanazi, who served as a Non-executive Director for South32 prior to his passing in 2020.
This bursary program aims to empower deserving students residing within the King Cetshwayo District by providing financial assistance for undergraduate studies.
Dr Xolani Mkhwanazi South32 Bursary Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Dr Xolani Mkhwanazi South32 Bursary, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Residency: You must be a resident of the King Cetshwayo District in KwaZulu-Natal province.
- Age: You must be under 21 years old.
- Education Level: You must be currently in Matric (Grade 12) or have already completed Matric.
- Field of Study: You must be planning to study or currently studying full-time towards a degree or diploma in one of the following fields in 2025:
- Commerce, Law and Management (Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Business Science and Law)
- Computer Science and Information Technology
- Engineering, Built Environment and Architecture (all disciplines)
- Health Sciences (Medicine, Nursing, etc)
- Humanities (Arts, Social Science, Education, etc)
- Science (Mathematical, Physical, Earth, Actuarial and Biological Sciences)Â Â
- Other relevant fields of study may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Tertiary Institution: You must be planning to study or currently studying at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Academic Record: You must have a strong academic record, demonstrating your potential for success.
- Designated Groups: Preference will be given to students from designated groups as defined by the South African government.
