About the UWC/ INSETA Bursary
The UWC/ INSETA Bursary targets unemployed South African youth under 35 years old and registered students at UWC.
Students pursuing Post graduate or Honors studies in any of the following fields may apply:
- Finance (BCom or BAdmin)
- Law Degrees (with specialisation in any of the following: Financial Planning, Insurance or Pension Fund)
- Marketing
- Financial Planning (Loss Adjustor)
- Information Technology
- Economics (BCom or BAdmin)
- Risk (BCom or BAdmin)
- Insurance (BCom or BAdmin)
- Investments (BCom or BAdmin)
- Accounting (BCom or BAdmin)
- Data Science/ Data Analyst
It provides comprehensive financial support, covering tuition fees, accommodation costs, and prescribed textbooks.

UWC/ INSETA Bursary Application Form
The application process is straightforward and can be completed online or in person.
However, ensuring you follow the correct procedures and submit all required documentation is very important if you want to have a successful application. Here’s what you need to know:
First of all, you must download the official application form from the UWC website or INSETA’s website.
And when it comes to submissions, you have two options. You can either submit your completed form electronically through the UWC Online Application Portal.
Or submit your application form and supporting documents in person at the UWC Financial Aid Office or any designated INSETA regional office.

You must use the words “UWC INSETA Bursary Application” in the email subject line.
The UWC/ INSETA Bursary Requirements
For an applicant to be eligible for the UWC/ INSETA Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be under 35 years old (for unemployed applicants).
- Be a registered undergraduate or postgraduate student at UWC.
- Be unemployed (if applying as an unemployed youth).
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Maintain good academic standing (for continuing students).
