The Arup Education Trust Bursary is offered by the Arup Group Limited, a multinational professional services firm established in 1946.

Arup is a leader in the built environment sector, providing planning, design, engineering, consulting, and project management services across the globe.

Recognizing the importance of education in building a more equitable future, Arup established the Arup Education Trust in 2011.

The Trust is committed to empowering previously disadvantaged students in South Africa by providing financial support for their studies in the built environment.

With a particular focus on encouraging female participation in the industry, the Arup Education Trust Bursary program awards scholarships to deserving students pursuing degrees in architecture, construction studies, engineering, quantity surveying, and town planning.

About the Arup Education Trust Bursary

The Arup Education Trust Bursary exists to bridge the financial gap for talented South African students from designated groups (Black African, Coloured, Indian/Asian, disabled) who aspire to careers in the built environment.

The program aims to support students with strong academic backgrounds who are hindered by financial constraints.

By providing financial support, the Arup Education Trust Bursary empowers students to focus on their studies and contribute their skills and knowledge to shaping the future of South Africa’s built environment.
