Coronation Exceptional Student Bursary Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Coronation Exceptional Student Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. You must be a South African citizen.
  2. Academic Background:
    • Matric Students: If you are currently in Matric, you need a minimum overall average of 75%.
    • University Students: If you are already enrolled at a university, you must have a minimum overall average of 70%.
  3. You must be intending to pursue, or already be enrolled in, a full-time undergraduate degree program related to commerce at a recognized South African university (TVET colleges, private colleges, and community colleges are not eligible).
  4. You must demonstrate strong academic potential and a commitment to excellence.
  5. Leadership Qualities: Leadership skills are highly desirable.
  6. Well-Roundedness: Being a well-rounded student who actively participates in extracurricular activities will strengthen your application.
  7. Disadvantaged Background: Preference will be given to students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

Applications for the Coronation Exceptional Student Bursary are submitted online.

  3. Certified copy of your Matric certificate (if completed)

  6. Certified copies of your latest academic transcripts (if currently studying)
  7. One-page statement explaining your chosen field of study and post-graduation plans

  9. Curriculum Vitae
  10. Proof of monthly household income (latest payslips, bank statements, affidavit if unemployed, pension/SASSA grant proof)
