  3. Latest university fee statement
  4. Proof of income for both yourself and your guardians (if applicable)
  5. Proof of university acceptance or registration

Energy Mobility Education Trust Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the EMET Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a South African citizen classified as Black according to the B-BBEE Act
  2. Be 40 years old or younger at the time of application
  3. Be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or postgraduate program in one of the specified energy-related fields at a partner university (University of Johannesburg, University of Witwatersrand, University of Pretoria, or University of Fort Hare)
  4. Be in your 3rd or final year of undergraduate studies, or pursuing Honours, Masters, or PhD studies
  5. Have a total household income of not more than R600,000 per annum

Energy Mobility Education Trust Scholarship Closing Date

The application deadline for the EMET Scholarship typically falls in November or December each year.

For the past year, the application cycle ended on 7 December 2023. It’s important to note that applications submitted after the closing date will not be considered.
