About the EWSETA Bursary

- Have a completed Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Currently be studying or be accepted to study at a recognized South African university or TVET college.
- Be enrolled in a program that falls within the energy and water sectors (refer to the list below for specific examples).
- Preference will be given to students from previously disadvantaged communities (youth, black, female) and students with disabilities.
The EWSETA Bursary prioritizes programs relevant to the energy and water sectors.

- Engineering Studies (GFETQSF) (Certificate: N1/ N2/ N3)
- Civil Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering)
- Electrical Engineering (Diploma/ Bachelor of Technology)
- Engineering Technology (Computer Systems) (Diploma)
- Quality (Bachelor of Technology/ Master of Technology)
- Hydrology and Water Resources Management (Bachelor of Science)
- Supply Chain Management (Diploma/ Advanced Diploma/ Bachelor degree/ Honours degree)
- Marketing (Diploma/ Postgraduate Diploma/ Bachelor of Commerce/ Bachelor of Commerce Honours)
- Information Systems Management (Advanced Certificate)
- Information Technology (Advanced Diploma/ Bachelor degree)
EWSETA Bursary Application Requirements
To apply for the EWSETA Bursary, you will need to prepare the following documents:
- Certified copy of a valid matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification (not older than 3 months from the date requested).
- Certified copy of your South African identity document (not older than 3 months from the date requested).
- University/TVET stamped full academic records (for continuing students).
- Copy of proof of application and/or provisional acceptance letter (for first-time applicants).
- Any additional information requested by EWSETA.

EWSETA Bursary Closing Date
It’s important to note that the closing date for EWSETA Bursary applications usually falls on June 30th each year.
