EY Bursary Eligibility Criteria

- South African Citizenship: You must be a South African citizen.
- Matric Completion: You must have completed your Matriculation studies.
- Academic Performance: You must have achieved a minimum of 4 A symbols (excluding Life Orientation) in your Matric exams.
- Degree Choice: You must be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, a Chartered Accountancy degree program.
- University Accreditation: You must be enrolled, or planning to enroll, at a South African university accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). This includes universities like the University of Witwatersrand, University of Johannesburg, University of Cape Town, and others.
- Academic Record: You must have a strong academic background demonstrating your commitment to academic excellence.
- Accounting Skills: You must possess a proven aptitude for accounting principles and practices.
- Financial Need (Optional): If applying for the “Academic Merit with Financial Need Bursary,” you must demonstrate financial need through relevant documentation.
EY Bursary Application Requirements
All applications for the EY Bursary must be submitted online. Here’s what you’ll need to have on hand:
- Certified Copies: A certified copy of your South African ID document and Matric certificate.
- Academic Records: A certified copy of your full academic record, including 2024 mid-year results.
- University Registration: Proof of your university registration for the 2024 academic year (if applicable).
