The Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC) provides information relating to the FAFSA; parents and students can reach them for more information relating to the FAFSA.

The FSAIC is a customer service center run by the U.S. Department of Education.

Their primary role is to answer your questions about federal student aid programs, also known as Title IV programs.

This includes grants, loans, and work-study programs offered by the government to help students pay for college.

They can help you with:

  • The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, both paper and online versions.
  • Completing the FAFSA accurately, including corrections and pre-filled applications.
  • Understanding the Department of Education’s federal student aid programs.
  • Obtaining your student loan history.

1-800-433-3243 (1-800-4-FED-AID) is the most common way to connect with a customer service representative. They are available Monday-Friday from 8 am to 10 pm Eastern Time (ET) and Saturdays from 11 am to 5 pm ET. The FSAIC is closed on Sundays and federal holidays.
