The FASSET Outstanding Study Debt Assistance Grant directly addresses the financial challenges faced by recent graduates burdened with student loans acquired during their Accounting or Finance studies.

Recognizing the importance of a debt-free future for career advancement, this grant program offers financial assistance to a maximum of R40,000 per applicant, helping them settle outstanding loans and focus on building a successful career.

FASSET Outstanding Study Debt Assistance Grant Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the FASSET Outstanding Study Debt Assistance Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. You must be a South African citizen.
  2. You must possess a completed Matric certificate.
  3. You must be currently employed.
  4. You must have completed a qualification within the Accounting or Finance sector.
  5. You must have an outstanding student loan from NSFAS or your previous higher education institution.
  6. You must demonstrate a genuine financial need.
  7. Preference will be given to applicants earning less than R660,000 per annum.
  8. FASSET Learnership/Internship (Optional): While not mandatory, preference may also be given to applicants currently enrolled in a FASSET learnership or internship program.
