About the Grand Gaming Bursary

The Grand Gaming Bursary is a targeted bursary program designed to assist financially disadvantaged but ambitious and self-motivated students residing in Mpumalanga.

The bursary supports students enrolled in or planning to enroll in accredited tertiary institutions within Mpumalanga for qualifications in the following fields:

1. Engineering
2. Commerce and Economics
3. Financial Management
4. Human Resources Management
5. Management

The bursary award is directly transferred to the successful candidate’s university, ensuring the funds are used for educational expenses.

Grand Gaming Bursary Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, ensure you meet all the following eligibility requirements:

1. South African Citizen
2. Resident of Mpumalanga Province
3. Completed Matric (high school diploma)
4. Studying or intending to study in 2025 for a qualification in one of the listed fields above
5. Registered or planning to register at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution within Mpumalanga
6. Not a recipient of NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme) or any other bursary award
7. Demonstrable financial need
8. Ambitious and self-motivated

Grand Gaming Bursary Application Requirements

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can submit your application by compiling the following documents:

1. Certified copy of your South African ID document
2. Certified copy of your Matric certificate
3. Full academic record (if already enrolled in a program)
4. Proof of registration at a Mpumalanga tertiary institution for 2025
5. Tuition statement or quotation outlining 2025 academic year fees
6. Certified copy of your institution’s banking details for bursary payment
7. Proof of residence within Mpumalanga
8. Affidavit from a police station verifying your parents’ or guardians’ unemployment or low income status
9. Motivational letter explaining why you deserve the bursary award (Consider including tips from our blog on writing a strong motivational letter).

There is no application form, you just need to simply submit the listed documents.

All certified documents must be issued within the past 3 months.
