HP Inc Bursary Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the HP Inc Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- South African Citizenship: You must be a South African citizen by birth or naturalization.
- Completed Matric: You must have successfully completed your Matriculation certificate.
- Field of Study: You must be enrolled for (or planning to enroll for) an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering at a recognized and accredited public South African tertiary institution.
- Academic Record: You must possess a strong academic record with a minimum overall average of 65% in your most recent exams.
HP Inc Bursary Application Requirements

- Clear Head and Shoulders Photograph: A recent, high-quality photograph of yourself.
- South African ID (Certified Copy): A certified copy of your valid South African identification document.

- Academic Record: A copy of your full academic record, including your most recent available results (June 2024 exam results or progress report, if applicable).
- Proof of Income: Documents demonstrating your parents’ or guardians’ household income. This may include payslips (if employed), affidavits (unemployed/self-employed), audited financial statements/bank statements (business owners), or SASSA letters (if applicable).
- Death Certificates (if applicable): If your parents are deceased, you’ll need to provide certified copies of their death certificates.
- Proof of Child Support (if applicable): If your parents are divorced or separated and you receive child support, provide a letter from the court outlining the amount or an affidavit from the parent providing the same information.
