About the Indwe Risk Services Bursary

Indwe Risk Services offers a bursary program awarding 10 deserving students currently enrolled in their second or third year of a Commerce degree at a recognized South African university.

This partial bursary aims to alleviate financial pressure by contributing towards registration and tuition fees, up to a maximum of R30,000 per year.

The bursary is potentially renewable annually, contingent upon satisfactory academic performance and the discretion of Indwe Risk Services.

However, successful recipients will be required to fulfill a service level obligation upon completion of their studies.

This entails a 6-month paid internship for each year they receive funding.

Indwe Risk Services Bursary Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, ensure you meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. You must be a South African citizen.
  2. You must have completed your Matriculation (National Senior Certificate) and currently be in your second or third year of studies pursuing a Commerce degree qualification.
  3. You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in your previous semester.
  4. You must be registered at one of the following universities:
    • University of Johannesburg
    • University of Pretoria
    • University of the Witwatersrand
    • University of Fort Hare  
    • University of Zululand
    • University of Venda
    • Rhodes University
    • Walter Sisulu University
    • Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University

    • University of Stellenbosch
  5. You must be fluent in English and at least one other South African language.
  6. You must demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team and possess strong communication skills.

Indwe Risk Services Bursary Application Requirements

To apply for the Indwe Bursary, you’ll need to gather the following documents:

  1. Completed Application Form: Download the official Indwe Risk Services Bursary Application Form and complete it thoroughly.
  2. Certified Supporting Documents: Submit clear, certified copies of the following documents along with your application:
    • ID document
    • Matric certificate
    • Full tertiary academic transcripts
    • Proof of registration at your designated university
    • Latest student account statement
    • Parents’/ guardians’ ID documents (certified copies)
    • Parents’/ guardians’ proof of income (latest payslips, sworn affidavits if unemployed, latest financial statements/sworn affidavits if self-employed, proof of SASSA grants if applicable, legal guardian’s payslip if applicable)  
    • Proof of residence
    • Motivational essay (one-page document; refer to the application form for specific essay instructions)

Submitting all the required documents is mandatory. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
