ITHUBA Bursary Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the ITHUBA Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. You must be a South African citizen.
  2. You must be no older than 23 years old.
  3. You must have achieved a minimum of 70% for each subject and a minimum overall average of 70% in your previous year of study.
  4. Field of Study: You must be currently studying or intend to study towards a qualification in one of the following fields:
    • Commerce: Accounting, Management Accounting & Finance, Marketing
    • Information Technology: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communication Networks, Information Systems, Software Development  
  5. You must be enrolled in or have been accepted to study at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
  6. You must be from a previously disadvantaged background with a total household income not exceeding R350 000 per year.
  7. You must demonstrate a strong commitment to your studies and a desire to maintain a good academic record.
  8. Your values and goals should align with ITHUBA’s mission of giving back to the community.

ITHUBA Bursary Application Requirements
