Mezzanine Bursary Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Mezzanine Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- South African Citizenship (by birth): You must be a South African citizen by birth.
- Western Cape Residency: You must reside within the Western Cape province.
- Age Limit: You must be no older than 27 years old.
- Employment Status: You must be unemployed.
- Academic Background:
- You must have completed Matric with exemption.
- You must be enrolled full-time in an accredited South African tertiary institution.
- You must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mathematics or Computer Science.
- You must be in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study (4th year applicants must be registered for an undergraduate degree).
- You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% for your first year of tertiary studies.
- Financial Need: You must demonstrate financial need.
- No Other Bursary: You cannot be receiving any other bursary award for the 2024 academic year.
- Clean Record: You must have no criminal record and a clear credit record.
- T&C Agreement: You must be willing to read and agree to the Mezzanine Bursary Terms & Conditions.
