About the Mulilo Bursary
The Mulilo Bursary is a merit-based bursary program open to South African citizens residing in the Northern Cape province, specifically within the municipalities of Emthanjeni, Renosterberg, and Siyathemba.
The program supports students at various stages of their academic journey, offering financial assistance for undergraduate, postgraduate, and distance learning qualifications across diverse fields.
The Mulilo Group is a leading mining and exploration company that was established the bursary in 2014 with the vision of nurturing future leaders and contributing to the socio-economic development of the Northern Cape.

Mulilo Bursary Application Form
The application process for the Mulilo Bursary is usually open from October for placement in the following January.

Here’s what you need to know about the application process:
- Application form: Download the application form from the Mulilo website.
- Required documents: Attach all necessary supporting documents, including your academic transcripts, proof of residence, ID document, and proof of financial need.
- Submission: Submit your completed application form and supporting documents electronically to applications@mulilo.com (Use the words “Mulilo Bursary Application” in the email subject line).
- Additional information: You must ensure that all the information you provide is accurate and complete because incomplete applications will not be considered.
The Mulilo Bursary Requirements
In order for you to be eligible for the Mulilo Bursary, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- South African citizenship: You must be a South African citizen.
- Age limit: You must be 35 years old or younger at the time of application.
- Residency: You must permanently reside in the Northern Cape province, specifically within the municipalities of Emthanjeni, Renosterberg, or Siyathemba.
- Academic qualifications: You must have completed Matric or be currently studying at Matric level.
- Study intentions: You must be currently studying or intend to study towards an undergraduate, postgraduate, or distance learning qualification at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa (University, Technicon, or TVET College).
- Financial need: You must demonstrate financial need and inability to afford your education without the bursary.
