About the Pindulo VDM Bursary Programme

Pindulo VDM is committed to fostering future leaders in the supply chain industry through education and skill development. 

They offer a bursary program open for applications annually. 

While all fields of study are considered, preference is given to areas aligning with Pindulo VDM’s core business, including:

  1. Accounting
  2. Engineering
  3. Information Technology
  4. Logistics

The bursary provides financial support towards tuition fees and potentially other approved ancillary costs. 

The details and coverage of the bursary will be outlined in the official bursary agreement. 

Importantly, the bursary is awarded for one academic year at a time, with the possibility of renewal upon satisfactory academic performance. 

Additionally, upon graduation, bursary recipients may be offered employment opportunities at Pindulo VDM. 

However, you should understand that this is presented as an additional benefit, not a requirement to “pay back” the bursary.

Eligibility Criteria for the Pindulo VDM Bursary

Before applying, ensure you meet the minimum entry requirements:

  1. Current Matric Students or Matriculation Completed: You must be either currently enrolled in Matric (Grade 12) or have already completed Matric.
  2. Full-Time Studies: You must be committed to full-time studies towards any qualification, with preference given to fields listed above. Applications from all fields are still welcome.
  3. Accredited South African Institution: Your studies must be undertaken at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution within South Africa.
  4. Geographical and Background Preference: While all applications are considered, preference may be given to students residing in the West Coast and surrounding areas, as well as those from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

Pindulo VDM Bursary Application Requirements

The required application documents are as follows:

  1. Certified Copy of ID Document
  2. Academic Records: Grade 10 final report, Grade 11 final report, and most recent Matric report (if applicable)
  3. Referral Letter (Matric Students Only): A referral letter from a school teacher is required if you are currently enrolled in Matric.
  4. Proof of Acceptance (Optional): If you’ve already secured acceptance at a tertiary institution, include proof of acceptance documentation.
  5. Academic Records (Continuing Students Only): Provide your latest academic record or transcripts if you are currently a student.
  6. Proof of Enrolment (Continuing Students Only): Submit proof of enrolment at your chosen tertiary institution if you are currently studying.
  7. Motivational Essay: Compose an essay addressing three key areas:
    • Competencies: Discuss your current academic achievements, developed skills, significant learnings, and areas you aim to improve.
    • Career Choice: Explain your career aspirations, desired job description, reasons behind your choice, and your growth plan in relation to Pindulo VDM and the broader supply chain industry.
    • Personal Motivation: Express your personal motivations for pursuing your chosen field of study and how this bursary will contribute to your academic journey.

There’s no separate application form to be filled.
