Pretune SIM Card Bursary Eligibility Criteria
Before your application, ensure you meet the following minimum requirements:
- South African Citizenship: You must be a South African citizen to be eligible for this bursary.
- Academic Excellence: A proven track record of academic achievement is essential.
- Financial Need: You must demonstrate a genuine financial need to qualify for this bursary program.
- Matriculation Status: You must have either completed Matric (Grade 12) or be currently enrolled in Matric.
- Matriculation Results: You must have achieved a minimum of:
- 50% for all Matric subjects.
- 60% for Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy).
- 60% for English.
- Field of Study: You must be enrolled or intend to enroll full-time in one of the aforementioned undergraduate fields of study at a South African university.
- Cell C SIM Card Preference (Optional): While not mandatory, preference will be given to prospective students utilizing a Cell C SIM card distributed by Pretune Technologies.

- South African ID document
- Grade 11 results
- Matric results (if completed)

- Proof of income for parents/guardians:
- Employed: Latest payslip, tax return statement, employer’s letter, or sworn statement.
- Self-employed: Latest financial statements.
- Unemployed: Sworn affidavits.
- Sworn statement from one parent if parents are separated.
- Divorce certificate (if applicable).
- Death certificate(s) if one or both parents are deceased.
