About the Roche Diagnostics Bursary

Roche Diagnostics is committed to nurturing future talent in South Africa. 

Their bursary program offers exceptional financial support to deserving students pursuing undergraduate or honours degrees in critical fields. 

These fields include Science, Engineering, Medical studies, and Quantitative Commerce. 

Additionally, the bursary may consider applicants in Human Resources, Marketing, and Law.

Eligibility Criteria for the Roche Diagnostics Bursary

Before applying, ensure you meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. South African citizen
  2. Under 26 years of age
  3. Completed Matric (National Senior Certificate)
  4. Enrolled in or intend to enroll in a full-time undergraduate or honors degree program in one of the eligible fields mentioned above (Diploma, Masters, or PhD studies are not covered)
  5. Studying or accepted/provisionally accepted at a recognized and accredited South African tertiary institution
  6. Strong academic record with a minimum overall average of 60%
  7. Preference given to students entering their 2nd or higher year of study in 2025

How to Apply for the Roche Diagnostics Bursary

Ensure you have clear copies of the following documents to submit along with your application:

  1. Certified copy of your ID document
  2. Certified copy of your Matric certificate
  3. Proof of university registration for 2025 (if currently studying) – official document on letterhead
  4. Proof of university acceptance/provisional acceptance – official document on letterhead
  5. Certified copy of your most recent academic transcript
  6. Motivational letter (1 page) Explain your chosen qualification, your career aspirations, and why you believe you are an exceptional candidate deserving of the bursary’s investment.
  7. Certified copies of your parents’ or guardians’ ID documents/death certificates (if applicable)
  8. Certified copies of your parents’ or guardians’ proof of household income (3 months’ payslips, affidavit if unemployed, SASSA documents if receiving a grant)
  9. Dept. of Labour Employment Equity Act (EEA1) Form and Doctor’s Letter (if disabled)
  10. Signed and completed parental/guardian consent form with certified copy of their ID (if under 18).

All certified documents must be less than 3 months old.
