How to Appeal Your SRD Grant
- Visit the SASSA appeals website: srd.dsd.gov.za/appeals.
- Enter your ID number and phone number used during your application.
- Get a PIN sent to your phone and enter it.
- Explain why you’re appealing. This could be due to a mistake in your application, new circumstances, or technical problems.
- Submit your appeal with any supporting documents. You’ll get a confirmation message.
How Long Does the Appeal Take?
You have 30 days to appeal after your rejection notice. The appeal process can take up to 90 days. Be patient, many people win their appeals and get their SRD grant payments back.
Checking Your SRD Grant Appeal Status
- Have your ID number ready.
- Visit the SASSA appeal status webpage: srd.sassa.gov.za/appeals/appeal.
- Enter your appeal reference number, phone number, and ID number.
