  • Cheques go directly to the institution.

Financing the Scheme

SPEBS operates as a non-profit and relies entirely on donations. Contributions can be general, for the bursary pool, or specific bursaries in the name of a patron company.

Advantages for Patron Firms

Contributor companies gain access to a pool of civil engineering students. While generally not contractually bound, some firms prefer employment agreements with bursary recipients, benefiting both parties.

Appeal for Donations

SPEBS addresses a critical need in civil engineering education in South Africa. Bursaries up to R6 500 per semester are awarded based on merit. Contributions can shape the future of civil engineering in the country. Donors should make cheques payable to SPEBS.
