Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority Bursary Requirements

In order for you to be eligible for the TCTA Bursary, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID.
  2. Be below 35 years old.
  3. Come from a previously disadvantaged background.
  4. Have completed your National Senior Certificate (Matric) with university entrance.
  5. Demonstrate academic merit by achieving a minimum of 60% for English, Science, and Mathematics in your Matric.
  6. Be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time for an undergraduate degree at a recognized South African university or technikon. Applicable fields of study include:
    • Economics
    • Financial Management
    • Treasury & Investment
    • Commercial field
    • Any other related numerate degree (BCom)
  7. If you are already a university student, you must maintain a minimum of 65% average in your major subjects.
  8. Not be a relative or family member of a TCTA employee.
  9. Have a household income of R 350 000.00 or below per annum.

Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority Bursary Closing Date

The application deadline for the TCTA Bursary usually falls in the first half of the year. The closing date is usually on 11 March every year.
