TVET trimester windows
NSFAS also runs extra windows for TVET intakes. For 2026 Trimester 3, it moved the window forward to 14 to 23 August 2026 so it would not overlap with the 2027 cycle.
What to do now
- Prepare your ID, household information and consent form.
- Apply on myNSFAS or the official NSFAS app before 31 October 2026.
- Apply to your TVET college separately; many 2027 college windows closed in September or October 2026.
Returning NSFAS students who remain eligible do not reapply. First-time applicants, students changing sector and students returning after a break do.
