VerifiedN1 never required matric: the entry level was a Grade 9 pass. However, the question no longer applies to new students, because DHET phased out the NATED N1 to N3 programmes from 1 January 2024. The last date to enrol was 31 December 2023. If you do not have matric, there are still good routes into technical and vocational study.

- Results you have already achieved remain valid.
- Ask your college what options it offers to continue, such as a related occupational programme or trade.
- Keep certified copies of your N-certificates or Statements of Results.
