What you can do online
- Register for rewrites or the Amended Senior Certificate on eservices.gov.za.
- Use the DBE’s free Second Chance Matric study support.
- Follow an online school or tutoring programme.
What must happen in person
- Writing each examination paper at your allocated centre.
- Bringing your ID and examination permit.
- Completing practical or oral assessments where your subject requires them.
Only the DBE runs the exams, and certificates are issued through Umalusi. If an online school cannot explain where you will write, do not pay it.
