When Will TVET College Students Receive Their NSFAS Allowances?

Are you waiting for your NSFAS allowances? Great news! NSFAS has introduced a new payment system to make it easier and faster for you to receive your allowances. Here’s what you need to know:

What is NSFAS?

NSFAS provides financial support to needy students, covering tuition, registration fees, and allowances for food, accommodation, and learning materials.

The new system uses direct bank deposits, a simple and efficient way for you to receive your allowances.

All you need to do is update your banking details.

When Will TVET Colleges NSFAS Allowances Payments Start?

Starting May 25, 2024, all TVET college students funded by NSFAS will receive their allowances directly into their personal bank accounts.

How to Upload Your Banking Details for NSFAS Allowance

1. Visit the myNSFAS portal
2. Log in with your myNSFAS credentials
3. Go to “Profile Information” and select “Bank Account Details.”
4. Enter your bank details from your chosen bank
5. Click “Save”

Take Note

• Only students with confirmed funding and submitted registration data can add their banking details
• NSFAS will verify your bank account information
• Previous NSFAS Direct bank accounts will no longer be used
• TVET College principals and Student Support Services are available to assist you

Upload your banking details by May 20, 2024, to ensure a smooth transition and avoid payment delays.
