About the Westfalia Fruit Bursary

The Westfalia Fruit Bursary offers financial support for undergraduate studies in various agriculture-related fields, including:

Westfalia Fruit Bursary Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Westfalia Fruit Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a South African citizen
  2. Be currently in Matric (Grade 12) or have completed Matric
  3. Be planning or currently enrolled in full-time undergraduate studies in one of the approved fields (agriculture-related or community benefit)
  4. Be registered or planning to register at a recognized and accredited South African University, University of Technology, or TVET College
  5. Demonstrate a strong academic record
  6. Have proven financial need
  7. (Preference is given to students from communities surrounding Westfalia Fruit operations)

Westfalia Fruit Bursary Application Requirements

To apply for the Westfalia Fruit Bursary, you will need to submit the following documentation along with your completed application form:

  1. Certified copy of your ID document
  2. Certified copy of your Matric mid-term results (if currently in Matric) 
  3. Certified copy of your Matric certificate (if completed Matric)
  4. Certified copy of your June 2024 or most recent academic results (if currently studying)
  5. Certified copy of your final academic results (if applicable)
  6. Quotation of study fees from your chosen tertiary institution (on institutional letterhead)
  7. Proof of acceptance or pre-approval letter from your chosen institution for 2025 studies (on institutional letterhead)
  8. Proof of residence

How to Apply

Applications are submitted electronically. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Download and complete the Westfalia Fruit Bursary Application Form.
  2. Gather all the required supporting documents (certified copies).
  3. Email your completed application and supporting documents to bursaries@westfaliafruit.co.za.
  4. Include “Westfalia Fruit Bursary 2025” in the email subject line.

First-time applicants must submit your Matric certificate or Academic Statement of Results as soon as it becomes available, but no later than January 30th, 2025.

Westfalia Fruit Bursary Closing Date

The deadline to submit your application is October 31st, 2024.
