The Chery South Africa Scholarship Challenge is a competitive scholarship program that awards financial assistance to deserving South African students.

The scholarship is designed to help students cover the costs of their tuition fees, accommodation, and other educational expenses.

The primary goal of the scholarship is to empower students to reach their full potential and contribute positively to South African society.

Chery South Africa Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Chery South Africa Scholarship Challenge, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Applicants must be South African citizens.
  2. Applicants must have a strong academic record, demonstrated by high grades and a commitment to their studies.
  3. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be unable to afford their education without assistance.
  4. Applicants must be actively involved in extracurricular activities or community service.
  5. You must be eligible to attend, or are currently enrolled, at an accredited tertiary education institution
  6. You must remain enrolled with satisfactory academic progress and provide annual transcripts to Chery South Africa to maintain the scholarship.

All the shortlisted candidates will be selected by Chery South Africa and will be announced on 23 August 2024.

Chery South Africa will select 10 finalists who will then present their brilliant campaign idea to a panel of judges. 

All the presentations will be done in Johannesburg or over Microsoft Teams if students reside outside of Johannesburg, on 30 August 2024.

The winner will be announced on 30 August 2024, after the presentations. 

The winner will be notified by email and/or telephone and/or in person. 

Announcements will be made on Chery’s website, social media platforms, and other media outlets.

Chery South Africa Scholarship Challenge Application Requirements

  1. Completed Application Form: A filled-out application form which is available on the Chery South Africa website.
  2. Academic Transcripts: Official copies of academic transcripts from all institutions attended.
  3. Proof of South African Citizenship: A copy of a valid South African identity document or passport.
  4. Financial Need Documentation: Supporting documents to demonstrate financial need, such as income statements or proof of financial assistance.
  5. Essays: Two essays addressing the specified topics, outlining the applicant’s academic goals, motivation for applying, and how the scholarship will benefit them.
