About the Rosond Bursary 

The Rosond Bursary Programme provides financial assistance to students residing in targeted areas within Gauteng, Limpopo, North West, and Northern Cape provinces. 

The bursary is available for studies in a variety of fields crucial to the mining industry and beyond, including:

Eligibility Criteria for the Rosond Bursary

To be eligible for the Rosond Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Age: Between 18 and 30 years old
  2. Education: Completed Matric (Grade 12)
  3. Study Mode: Full-time studies
  4. Year of Study: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year
  5. Institution: Recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
  6. Academic Performance: Minimum overall average of 60%
  7. Residence: Must be from one of the listed communities in Gauteng, Limpopo, North West, or Northern Cape (students may be registered at a university in another province).

Rosond Bursary Application Requirements

All applicants must submit clear copies of the following documents with their application:

  1. Certified copy of your ID document
  2. Certified copy of your Matric certificate
  3. Certified copy of your full academic record/ transcripts (if currently studying)
  4. Current financial statement/ quote from your institution (on institution’s letterhead)
  5. Proof of registration at your tertiary institution (on institution’s letterhead)
  6. Motivational letter explaining why you deserve the bursary (see resources for writing a strong motivational letter)
  7. Proof of address
  8. Proof of your parents’ or guardians’ total household income (latest payslips, bank statements, affidavit if unemployed, SASSA grant proof, disability grant proof, pension proof, or death certificate if deceased)
  9. Updated Curriculum Vitae

There is no separate application form for this bursary.
