How to get the Coltech Online Application Form

Coltech is not a college. Coltech Computer Training is a software company whose Coltech Cloud system runs the online application and student portals for many public TVET colleges. There is no single Coltech application form: each college has its own portal, and you apply to the college, not to Coltech.

How to recognise a Coltech portal

College portals on the system usually have an address in the form collegename.coltech.co.za. Examples linked from college websites include:

College	Portal
uMfolozi TVET College	umfolozi.coltech.co.za
Thekwini TVET College	thekwini.coltech.co.za
Umgungundlovu TVET College	umgungundlovu.coltech.co.za

Getting to the right application form

1. Find your college’s official website in our directory of all 50 public TVET colleges.
2. Open the online application or “Apply” link there, rather than searching for “Coltech”.
3. Check that the address ends in coltech.co.za or the college’s own domain.
4. Create your profile with your ID number, choose a campus and programme, and upload your documents.

Common problems

• The portal only opens during the college’s application period, so it may not load outside those dates.
• Some colleges ask you to complete a placement test first, which then redirects you to the portal.
• Use an up-to-date browser such as Chrome, and upload documents in the format the college asks for.

Letaba and Esayidi are separate public TVET colleges, not Coltech campuses. Coltech does not offer courses.
